Sign up to volunteer.
Volunteers are at the heart of all that we do. WSCAH volunteers generously donate over 32,000 hours of their time annually, helping us serve over 100,000 New Yorkers. Volunteers support WSCAH by unloading deliveries, packing food, setting up, and distributing healthy food to our customers.
For Individual Volunteers
Please join us at our 86th Street Pantry, 180th Street Warehouse or Community Hubs.
Sign-up will take you to New York Cares, WSCAH's partner in volunteerism.

SNAP ABAWD Work Requirements
As of March 1, 2026, new SNAP work and volunteer requirements are now in effect in New York City for certain recipients. To help community members meet these requirements, we are now a Self-Enrolled Volunteer Service Provider (SEVSP). This means eligible SNAP recipients who have been identified as ABAWD can now complete their required volunteer hours directly with us at our Washington Heights warehouse. If you are interested in completing your required volunteer hours with us, please fill out the form below.
I volunteer at WSCAH because:

"Volunteering at WSCAH has connected me to my community."
"It has made me feel productive and introduced me to some of the kindest, most caring, supportive, funny people."

Your support matters.
We love our volunteers. But if you’re not able to join us, please consider supporting our work in other ways. Your gift makes a difference to thousands of New Yorkers.
